Single implant crown
A custom restoration attached to an implant to replace one missing tooth.
Restorative dentistry
The restoration is planned around function, cleansability, tissue support, material selection, and the implant foundation.
Implant restorative care may involve a single crown, a bridge replacing several teeth, an overdenture, or a fixed full-arch prosthesis. Each option has different requirements for space, hygiene, materials, bite, and maintenance.
Dr. Moini evaluates the implant position and condition, supporting tissues, restorative components, and the relationship to adjacent teeth before recommending a restorative plan.
Restorative options
A custom restoration attached to an implant to replace one missing tooth.
A multi-unit restoration supported by implants to replace several adjacent teeth.
A removable prosthesis that connects to implants for added retention and support.
A non-patient-removable restoration supported by multiple implants across an arch.
Material and design
Material selection may consider strength, available space, opposing teeth, esthetic goals, repairability, implant distribution, parafunctional habits, and maintenance. A material that is appropriate in one case may not be appropriate in another.
The treatment plan should identify whether a proposed restoration is provisional or definitive and what services are included.
Implant restorations are exposed to functional forces and may wear, loosen, chip, fracture, stain, or require component replacement over time. Natural tissue and bone can also change.
Professional evaluation, hygiene, radiographic monitoring when indicated, and daily home care are important. A night guard or other protective appliance may be recommended.
Dr. Moini may evaluate implants placed by another provider. Treatment depends on the availability and condition of records, implant identification, component compatibility, implant position, tissue health, and the ability to create an acceptable restoration. Evaluation does not guarantee that an existing implant can be restored.
